Taiwan is situated in
a strategic location amongst the new and expanding markets in
Europe, America, and Asia Pacific. Considering that Taiwan already
acts as an important regional focus for industrial production,
technological development, human resources, and the flow of capital
across borders as globalization continues, how can the country
strengthen its own ability to compete and become the region’s
center for economic development? How can Taiwan serve as the leader
for creating a cohesive development strategy in the midst of regional
and urban economic competition? How can Taiwan foster the best
environment for leaders to integrate industrial economic resources
in Asia Pacific region? Finally, in a future of limitless possibilities,
how can entrepreneurs appraise their resources, understand the
global environment, and gain from new business plans while also
keeping up with new developments?
The global economic system is experiencing broad, sweeping changes;
whether the focus is high-tech industry, traditional industry,
or governmental industrial policy, all face serious challenges.
“Taiwan as an Asia Pacific Operations Center” invites influential
leaders from industry, government, and academia to share their
opinions about prospects for the future. By asking how Taiwan
can act as a unique and competitive base for entrepreneurship,
make use of its resources, and integrate future policies with
past development strategies, we hope to crate Taiwan’s second
economic miracle.
* We invite entrepreneurs to both support and participate in this
activity.
